Born in Grand Rapids, MI, KR3Z grew up immersed in everything from Funk and Folk to Hip-Hop and Dance Music. These diverse tastes would later come to define his sound. While dropping a hot beat, he's just as likely to take a guitar solo as he is to spit a verse... Often in the same track.
As a producer, there's no limit to his influences. He is a devoted student of world music, and alongside modern styles, incorporates indigenous instruments into his live sets. The resulting performances are unpredictable, spiritual, and full of life.
